The village of Clarks is located in central
Nebraska, approximately 90 miles north and west of Lincoln. It's settled in
Merrick county with a population of 379. And the residents will say "There
is no better place to live."
Clarks homes three local churches, United Methodist, Congregational and

High Plains Community School began in August of
2000. They are a consolidated district made up of students from the Hordville,
Polk, and Clarks communities. Each town hosts a part of the school district.
Polk has the High School and a K-3 Elementary, Clarks has the Middle School
containing grades 4-8 and a K-3 Elementary.
The village has a local public swimming pool, public camp grounds, park, ball
field and tennis courts making it a great choice for families.
