The village of Clarks is located in central Nebraska, approximately 90 miles north and west of Lincoln. It's settled in Merrick county with a population of 379. And the residents will say "There is no better place to live."

High Plains Community School began in August of 2000. They are a consolidated district made up of students from the Hordville, Polk, and Clarks communities. Each town hosts a part of the school district. Polk has the High School and a K-3 Elementary, Clarks has the Middle School containing grades 4-8 and a K-3 Elementary. 

The village has a local public swimming pool, public camp grounds, park, ball field and tennis courts making it a great choice for families.
